Notes: Until 1967 entries were limited to 1 per country plus previous World Champion

Up until 1989 there was a World Week which was open to all FD sailors who did not qualify for the Worlds. Frequently there were many more entries for the World Week than the Worlds and so it was often as difficult to win the World Week as the Worlds

We are compiling a list of past winners of the various British trophies and would like to locate the trophies that were presented at the National Championships during the 1970s. During this time the FD National Championships were often held during Weymouth Olympic Week.

If you have any information regarding these matters, including photos of the trophies, names of winners or if you have recently seen the trophies or if you have ever had possession of any of the trophies or know of any other trophies that have been presented, please contact Richard Phillips as we would like to complete the list and recover the trophies for the 50th Anniversary in 2002. (We have full information for the following trophies: Southern Area Championships, Midland Area Championships and Oxford Tankards but we need assistance with names of winners prior to the time when these trophies were first presented)
