Sailing kit

If I take non sailors out, which happens quite a lot, because its fun, then they normally get a copy of these instructions beforehand, and anyone is welcome to help themselves to a copy, and if you can improve them, then please let me know. - Julian Bridges FD GBR 380.

YOU’LL NEED

  • bathers / undies

  • track/jogging pants

  • trainers and thick socks

  • t shirt

  • sweatshirt - bring two

  • fleece jacket

  • cajole

  • silly hat

  • FULL DRY CHANGE - INCLUDING SHOES

  • towel and shower stuff

  • MONEY FOR PUB!

 

YOU WILL BE GIVEN

  • a buoyancy aid (lifejacket)

  • possibly a spray suit (one piece cagoule)

  • safety string for specs (contact lenses OK if you would swim in them)

  • and lightweight gloves if you have delicate hands

DONT BRING

  • dangly earrings

  • fags

  • cameras

  • big hair

  • electronic personal personal organisers with your entire life in them

  • Grannies precious heirloom watches or lockets

You WILL get

  • wet to the knees

  • a wet bum

and you MAY get

  • soaked to the skin. (because its like that!)
