The new HARKEN Sailing Wear Collection with
regard to the Jacket - see photo below. Now,
they are available not only in blue, but also in red or white ; the
white is very beautiful ! received in the last
shipping from HARKEN, delivered January 2007.
Now,
Alberto has enough sizes and colours to
satisfy the requests received in the last two months.
Please, we
have to promote as best as possible the fashion to all the IFDCO members
: we still have a big stock !!

PRESIDENT' S LETTER - June 2006
Dear friends, dear IFDCO members,
in 2005 a very important news in our Class life is the beginning of
a Sponsorship Agreement between IFDCO and HARKEN
SAILING WEAR : during this first three years of sponsorship contract,
Harken Sailing Wear will be official supplier of our Class with several
clothes of their sportwear collections.
Since the fall-winter collection 2005-2006 , HARKEN Sailing Wear will deal
several models inspired to the FD history and emotion.
Those clothes, reporting both the HARKEN and the IFDCO Logos will be
available for each FD Class member with a special discount.
In detail, the Crew Collection will be always available with several
clothes (jacket, polo, gilet, t.shirt, etc.) in several colours and sizes;
moreover, every year HARKEN will develop and produce a fall-winter and
spring-summer collections, in which will be selected some articles to show
the IFDCO Logo.
IFDCO and HARKEN Sailing Wear agreed that when the stock of a specific
wear is reducing or finished, IFDCO could collect the order of is members
(with regard to wear, colour and size) and order to HARKEN, according to
the availability of the Company production.
Of course, the price list and the discount will be published and
updated in the website and FD Bulletin.
Since this year will be possible to look the HARKEN Sportwear Collections
with the FD Logo on the IFDCO Website and in the FD Bulletin; moreover
there will be a link between the IFDCO and the HARKEN Website.
Together with the a lot of enthusiast sailors who granted the worldwide
success of the FD Class, HARKEN will do being inspired by the most
peculiar feature of the FD Class : to be in the van with high-tech and
innovative solutions.
For the same reason, IFDCO chose HARKEN Sailing Wear, as brand to perform
the sportwear for the FD teams.
IFDCO, selling the sportwear to the Class members, will collect money to
spend for the Class promotion, advertisement and activities; for instance,
will be very important to help the young and new FD sailors, increase the
participation to specific events and support the Transport of the boats to
attend to World Championships overseas.
For such a reason, every container shipped to USA to attend to the Worlds
in St. Petersburgh had a grant of 900 €. .
That represents just the first step of the IFDCO activities to support our
teams ; anyway, that process require time and the cooperation of Class
members, National Secretaries, etc. to show and improve the advantages to
the sailors.
I believe that new aspect of the Class life is becoming more and
more important to optimize number of sailors, new generation teams,
events, etc.
Let' s commit ourselves all together, in order to support and quicken that
process !!
