Flying Dutchman event(s) in Sweden.

The traditional "Black Jack Cup" will this year be held the weekend 20-21 of July. It is held in Vejbystrand, a lovely little village situated in the south west corner of Sweden. Here we sail for the absolutely most ugly looking prize in the world. Luckily for the rest of us Bengt and Kenneth (SWE 108) wins the competition every year.

However, if someone else would come along and win it, Bengt's wife Suzanne would be very, very happy since he insists that it should be placed in a central position of the living room.

The Vejbystrand Tourist office, the departement of culture of Vejbystrand and the mayor of Vejbystrand would aslo be very happy if that prize left Vejbystrand.

In May 2002 we also had an early spring training session in Skärhamn on the west coast of Tjörn. This year the event attracted two boats, SWE 108 and SWE 115 and three spectators.

Hopefully this will become a yearly event which will attract more boats.
