Boats for Pan-Am Games

The Pan American Trials set for July 13-16 at Lake Minnetonka, near Minneapolis, Minnesota have been approved by the Olympic Yachting Committee.
Seven races are scheduled over the four day period with completion of at least five necessary for the series. One throw-out race will be used in scoring results with the new Olympic points system.
Each contestant will bring his own boat, sails and equipment to the trials and shall comply with the Constitution and By-Laws of the FD Class.
An innovation has been made for the Games which will be held at Winnipeg, Canada between July 23 and August 6, 1967. This is that boats (but not sails) will be provided to all Games entrants.
Charles Kelly of Small Craft, Ltd. has won the contract to supply the boats. It was a close race between Davidson of Vancouver, Small Craft of Calgary and
Wolfgang of Montreal.
