Introduction
IFDCO arranges the programme of World and European Championships.
Each year there is a Worlds or Europeans in Europe. Worlds are held outside Europe about 1 year in 3.
All FD sailors, whether past champions or whether new to FD racing are encouraged to attend the World or European Championship. These events provide an opportunity to test your skill against the best FD sailors in the world but no matter where you are on the learning curve with normally 60 to 125 other competitors you are sure to find others of a similar standard to yourself.
FD sailing provides great opportunities for international travel and to compete in the best sailing locations in the world. It is a great way to see the world and to meet with friends from other countries each year. It does not have to cost a fortune.
