APPENDIX II
VILLENIA CUP RULES
FD WORLD RANKING LIST SCORING
SYSTEM
Note:
At the 1992 IYRU Conference it
was narrowly decided that the Laser should replace the FD in the Olympics.
Accordingly the Villenia Cup was returned to
the Federation
Francaise de Voile and was presented to the Laser
Class.
The IYRU is now called the ISAF and has restricted International Class
World Ranking Lists to the official ISAF World Ranking lists for Olympic
Classes.
Since then the FD Class has continued to publish a ranking list. (See
FD Ranking List - Dawes World Cup). The rules for the ranking list are
based upon those below.
In 2002 the FD Class launched a Euro Cup circuit with a simplified scoring
system. (See FD Euro Cup)
The Byelaws and the Scoring system for the Dawes Trophy are currently
under review. An updated version of these Rules incorporating the Dawes
Trophy and Euro Cup will be released when approved by the IFDCO General
Committee (See IFDCO Byelaw 1.2.2)
Any queries regarding the organisation FD events should be
addressed to IFDCO VP Championships (see Class
Contacts)
