Containers to Worlds from Netherlands
message from Frank Nooijen
7 April 2007
Dear sailors,
It took some time (container market is a bit
overstressed) but now we received all the quotations for container
transportation of our FD´s to the worlds in Spain this summer. We can
offer you the following:
Loading at the Osse Overslag Centrale (OOC) in Oss, the Netherlands.
Packing of the containers is planned at Saturday 23 June.
Containers will be transported by sea going vesel to Cartagena and from
there by truck to the yacht club CAR Infanta Cristina. Expected day of
arrival Monday 9th July. The containers will be placed close to the club
and stay there during the races. Packing after the worlds will be at 21 or
22 July. Unpacking again at OOC in Oss is planned at Saturday 11th august.
The pricing for transport as described above, including ATA Carnet and
all, will be 1030 euro per FD, based on full container loads (6 FD´s/container).
I am trying to arrange transport insurance as well as before: estimated
costs are 120 euro / 20.000 euro value.
Everybody who is interested in the above, please let me
know by email at:
See you on the water!
Best regards
Frank Nooijen

Regattas in Germany
message from Tobias Frank
26 October 2006
Dear all,
Next years' Kiel Week will
take place only two weeks before the Spanish Championship and less than
three before the Worlds. That gives sailors form overseas the chance to
take place in al least three major events in Europe in relatively short
time. In addition to that there are one or two bigger local races in
Germany in the meantime so theoretically it would be possible to sail 5
series in one month.
The German class would be glad
to help sailors organise all of this, especially with regard to the
transport and/or housing. So please don't hesitate to contact me, if you
have any questions or need any assistance. We have a great interest in a
good international participation in the Kiel Week because the organisation
once more is thinking about dropping the FD. We're planning to have social
events again every day and are looking forward to seeing as many of you as
possible.
Tobias
