Transport from
Germany Flying Dutchman World Championship - New Zealand we have an additional offer for the transportation of our boats to the WC. The price is 900,00 € + insurance per boat, based on a full container. Loading will take place in Wetzlar, Germany, in the mid of November. hello sailors,
Due to some reasons, loading for
New Zealand needs to take place this coming weekend
saturday 18 okt starting at 10:00h. The main reasons are that customs
most likely do not work in Napier between christmas en new year and the
shipping line calling directly at Napier from Rotterdam is only a 3 weeks
service. I am sorry for the late information, but I know this only since
friday. All dutch sailors are informed already. For the others, please give a
reply that you can be there. Advantage is that the boats will be in New
Zealand already at 9th dec, so extentensive training programs are possible.

Time has come to make final
arrangements for shipment to New Zealand. At the moment I am trying to arrange
a somewhat better price than before but cannot promise so far. Come back on
this subject next week. On the other hand it looks like we need to load a
little bit earlier than previously announced (this was 15th nov), I think
maybe 1st or 8th nov, due to the fact that its most likely that customs do not
work in NZL between Christmas and new year, also this depends on the final
shipping line and sailing schedules we take. Hope/think to have this
information by next week as well. In the mean time I would like to receive a
confirmation if you still intend to go and like to make use of my
container-arrangements: please confirm by email only so far. If you know
sailors who like to go but are not on the list, please send me their email
addresses as well.

transport from Europe:
For the FD worlds championship in
Napier New Zealand beginning of 2009 I can offer the following transport
indications for all FD sailors in Europe who are interested:
Loading at our inland container
facility OOC in Oss the Netherlands, on Saturday
15th November 2008.
(now changed to
18 October)
Boats will arrive in New Zealand about 25th of December. Return in Oss and unloading will be on Saturday the 22nd February 2009.
Total price from Oss to Napier and
back to Oss by 40´ containers will be 1200,- euro/FD, based on full container
loads (6 FD´s/container) and price levels as per today.
Prices may change due to oil bunkering price differences and so on, but I guess it is fairly reliable. The same goes for the sailing schedule. Maybe it is possible to get some subsidies but that is not clear yet. We are open for good suggestions! Most likely it is possible to offer transport insurance like previous. Will inform you about that as well.
If you are interested please do a
preliminary subscription already, so I can get an idea of the total number of
boats. Final subscription will be late October this
year probably.
